PAiN Issue 05/00

[Review by Seven] This will be the last PAiN with Unlock as a main editor, as he has to enroll in the army soon. This issue is a bit smaller than the previous ones, but it's still a great read: there's a separate party corner with reports from Birdy2k and Escape 3, and invitations for Radwar, Buenzli 9 and Flag 2k. Yes/Orange Juice is interviewed about the new demoscene internet radio Nectarine, Numerus/Imphobia shares his thoughts about the fate of diskmags in the internet age, and Rain & Cy answer some questions about the Robots II game the're writing. Last issue, Kozmik said some bad things about Arf!Studios and other french people which turned out to be wrong, so there are two articles apologizing to the French scene. And you can learn how to fold out meshes of 3D objects for easier skinning, or how to create very small .exes in C++ in the tutorials. The music is a relaxed tune with piano, trumpets and percussion, it doesn't draw much attention to itself but it's really well done. the outro shows a large silvery figure, maybe a robot but it's a strangely smooth one, holding the PAiN screen in its three-fingered hand (It should be the PAiN man /Unlock).
